Privacy & Data
No audio is stored and no bot joins your call. On the Mac app, speech recognition happens on-device, so audio never leaves your machine.
What Meetia keeps
- No audio is stored. Meetia transcribes in real time and keeps only the resulting transcript — never the recording itself.
- No visible bot. Nothing joins your call as a participant; recording happens locally from your browser tab or your machine.
- On the desktop app, speech recognition happens on-device — audio never leaves your Mac. Only the transcribed text is sent to Meetia's servers.
What is kept is listed per workspace on its Knowledge screen.
Consent
If you're recording a call with other people on it, make sure you have their consent — the desktop app will remind you when it detects a spontaneous call starting.
