What Meetia is and how workspaces, Smart Threads, and the Inbox fit together. Pick between the web and Mac apps, then run your first meeting in five steps.
What is Meetia?
Meetia records and transcribes your meetings, then gives you an AI chat sitting right next to the transcript — live, while the meeting is still happening. No bot joins your call as a visible participant. Recording runs quietly from your own browser tab or your Mac, and other attendees have no way of knowing Meetia is running.
You work in Workspaces (projects, clients, or teams) made up of Smart Threads (a meeting, an AI chat, or both at once). Anything you haven't sorted into a workspace yet lives in your Inbox.
Web app vs. Desktop app
- What it captures. Web app: your microphone, and optionally the audio of the browser tab you're sharing. Desktop app: full system audio from any app — Zoom, Teams, Slack, or a browser.
- Sharing required. Web app: yes, if you want to capture other participants. Desktop app: no, nothing needs to be shared.
- Auto-start. Web app: no. Desktop app: yes, by calendar or by detecting that a call has started.
- Auto transcription. Web app: no. Desktop app: yes, on-device.
- Voice memos. Web app: no. Desktop app: yes — it works as a standalone transcriber outside of meetings.

Your first meeting
- Create a workspace, or start in your Inbox.
- Open a thread and press Record.
- Choose whether to include the shared tab's audio, and pick a language (or Auto-detect).
- Talk. Transcript lines appear as they're recognized, and you can ask the AI questions at any point — you don't need to wait for the meeting to end.
- Press Stop when you're done, or just close the tab — either way, the meeting is saved normally.
